Nokia announces the 6260 slide

Through a recent press release, Nokia has announced the latest addition to their lineup, the 6260. Nokia's 6260 will be the first Series 40 device to come with Nokia Maps and A-GPS for all your navigation needs.

The device supports Wi-Fi and global 3G frequencies (900/1900/2100 MHz) for fast internet browsing although only the 1900MHz band is supported by AT&T's network in the US. Nokia's Ovi service is also supported by the phone which is a good call as the new device comes equipped with a 5 megapixel camera and flash so one can share pictures and videos. Users will be able to utilize the expandable microSD card slot for extra storage when it comes to media especially to listen to music through the 2.5mm jack or with the help of A2DP support for Bluetooth.

Expect it to arrive in the market in early 2009 for EUR 299.
